Purim Poem By Nancy E. Wright
Purim
If you wonder what this triangle is, please read it through,
And know the feast of Purim, the day after that day
When Esther, nee Hadassah, revealed her disguise,
And Haman's plot to kill the Jews, including
The masquerading Persian Star who rose
Against that plot of the thirteenth day
Of Adar, made Haman eat his hat.
Foreshadowed Hamentaschen,
Victor's spoils, multiplied,
Stuffed with poppyseeds,
Three-cornered glee!
Revelry!
Purim's
Feast!
